NEWS UPDATE - Parents speak out at public hearing about Red Oak reassignment
Parking was at a premium at Red Oak Elementary School Monday night as hundreds of parents poured into the gym to weigh in on the Red Oak school reassignment issue. The majority of those who spoke were against the new plans currently under consideration by the school board, plans that would pull more than 140 students from the Red Oak Elementary School and send them to Swift Creek Elementary instead. However, many of those also present were Swift Creek school supporters who encouraged acceptance of one of three proposed plans. More ...
