School Board awaits LUPC’s appeal in eminent domain suit
The Nash-Rocky Mount Schools (N-RMS) board of education awaits the appeal filed by Life United Pentecostal Church (LUPC) on August 17 in their eminent domain lawsuit. NC Superior Court Judge, Milton “Toby” Fitch, Jr., overruled and dismissed all defenses brought by Poyner and Spruill attorneys on behalf of LUPC during the July 23 hearing. Instead of entering mediation scheduled for August 23 as a result of Fitch’s ruling, LUPC filed their appeal. More ...
