Update: Yarborough found guilty of first degree murder
Nezar “Sam” Anthony Yarborough will spend life in prison after a Nash County jury convicted him of first degree murder Thursday.
The jury deliberated for a little over an hour before handing down the guilty verdict to Superior Court Judge Quentin Sumner.
Yarborough was convicted of first degree murder in the shooting death of Derek Smith. Smith was shot after an attempted robbery at the home of Smith’s friend Canan Williams in April 2006.  More ...
