I hope everyone had a great Christmas and remembered the reason for the season. It was a celebration of Jesus’ birthday. I pray everyone had a safe holiday. Several readers have asked me why I didn’t write the Beulah News the last two weeks. William (my husband) had a few medical problems and was in the hospital so time didn’t permit me to get the news in on time. He is now home and on the way to recovery. Thank you for your calls, cards, visits and prayers. More ...

Soap Box predictions for new year
It is time to turn the page on 2009, and as many of us have come to realize, a lot of stuff happened this year. Most of it was correctly predicted in the Soapbox Predictions for 2009, at least as far as you know.

So this year, I’m not making any of those silly New Year’s resolutions. But if I were to write down a few, just to humor myself of course, here’s a couple of things I’d like to accomplish in 2010.

“Show me the graveyard of a community and I will tell you the true character of the people” – Benjamin Franklin. Words spoken hundreds of years ago ring true today. I’m here to tell you that grave robbery is alive and well in this community. More ...
