Dorothy A. Cotton, 75, of Nashville, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2015.

Evelyn Stott Proctor, age 91, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2015. Born in Nash County on August 5, 1923, she was the daughter of the late W. W. Stott and Zettie Bissette Stott. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Callie Vernon Proctor; and her three brothers, Henry Stott, Grady Stott and Bobby Stott.

She is survived by her daughter, Lynne Proctor Speight and her husband, Rocky and her son, Rick Proctor and his wife, Toni, all of Rocky Mount; two sisters, Melba Smith of Raleigh and Clara Carter of Supply, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 2 pm at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Dr. Robin Fisher officiating. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sunset Avenue Baptist Church Building Fund, 3732 Sunset Avenue, Rocky Mount, NC 27804
