Breaking News: Arrest made in quadruple murder case

The Halifax County Sheriff's Office has made an arrest in the quadruple murder on Fishing Creek Road. Matthew Simms, 25, of Enfield, was arrested on Thursday, October 26 and charged with four counts of murder. Simms is charged with killing James and Janice Harris and James and Peggy Jo Whitley on August 20 while the couples had gathered to play cards at the Harris' home on Fishing Creek Road in the Glenview Community of Halifax County.
