RED OAK -- Leading by seven points late in the first half, head coach Andrew Farriss and his Northern Nash Knights were feeling good during last Friday's home matchup with perennial powerhouse Scotland County in the third round of the Class 3-A State Football Playoffs at historic Death Valley on the NN campus.
While the NNHS offense had looked sloppy, the defense, which had been much undervalued throughout the course of the season, forced turnovers and limited Scotland's dynamic offensive unit.
