NASHVILLE - Renee Strickland Leonard, 67, passed away Monday March 28, 2011. She was born January 5, 1944 in Nash County. Renee was the daughter of the late Garland and Jean Bryant Strickland. She was preceded in death by husband, V. Cooper Hicks.
She is survivied by her husband, David Leonard, four children, Mark L. Hicks and wife, Susie, of Charles City, VA, Garland Scott Hicks and wife Leigh, of Lexington, NC, Amy Leonard Holiday and husband, Derek, of Seattle, WA, ten grandchildren, one sister, Barbara Strickland Boone,one brother, Charles Strickland, both of Rocky Mount.
Memorial Service was Thursday, March 31, 2011 at 7:00PM in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with Rev. David Moore officiating. Visitation followed after the service.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Wright Center at 501 Raleigh Road, Rocky Mount, NC 27803.
