Carl C. Pollard, 66, passed away on September 15 at home. Carl was the son of the late Alvis (Higgie) and Edna Best Pollard.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Shirley Messer Pollard; two daughters, Kim Brown and husband Clifton Brown of Purvis, MS and Georgia Butler of Enfield; two sons, Johnny Pollard and wife, Laura of Fremont and Justin Pollard of Rocky Mount; nine grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers.

Graveside funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, September, 19, 2011 at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. 

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Shirley Pollard to assist the family with expenses.
