CHARLES ADRON “PETE” HOLMES, SR.
Charles Adron “Pete” Holmes, Sr., 79, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2011. He was born June 15, 1932 to the late Albert “Dule” Holmes and Addie Winders Holmes. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Melvin and Albert Holmes; one grandchild, Charles Allen Clemmons; one great grandchild, John Thomas Carroll; one step-daughter, Veronda “Rhonda” Carroll.

He is survived by his   wife Nancy Ferguson Holmes; sister, Teresa H. Whitehead “Sketter”; children, Charles A. Holmes, Jr., Karen E. Holmes “Sissy”, Roseanna Holmes, Nina L. Holmes, Jewell Webb; 19 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Graveside  services were held at  12 p.m. Sunday, November 27, 2011 at Rocky Mount Memorial Park with Rev. Sonny Simpson officiating. Flowers will be accepted at the home or memorials may be made to Acorn Hill Baptist Church, 246 Acorn Hill Rd, Tarboro, NC 27886.

Arrangements are entrusted to Johnson Funerals and Cremations, Rocky Mount.
