ROBERT JOSEPH “JOE” TURNER

Robert Joseph “Joe” Turner, 68 passed away Friday, February 10, 2012. He was born October 18, 1943 in Wayne County, son of the late George and Annie Ruth Jernigan Turner.   In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Kenneth Turner and a son Robert Neal Turner.

Surviving are his wife, Judy Bass Turner of the home, son Kevin Ray McGee of the home, sister in law Tempie Lewis of the home, brother Tim Turner of Temperance Hall, sisters Mary Ann Odom of Dudley, Betty Carol Beaman of  Greenville and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held at  2 p.m. Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Brandon Dees officiating.  Burial  followed at Peachtree Baptist Church Cemetery, Spring Hope.
