James Douglas (J.D.) Morris, age 79 passed away on February 8, 2012.
He is preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Douglas Morris; father, Rossie Morris; mother, Alma Deans Taylor and step-father, Luther Taylor.
He is survived by his wife Gail Turner Morris of the home; daughter, Angela Morris Worrells and husband Alan of Sandy Cross; four grandchildren; brother, Chester and wife Patricia Morris of Wilson; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of J.D.’s life was held graveside Friday, February 10 2012 at 11 a.m. in the Oakdale Cemetery, Spring Hope.
Arrangements are entrusted to Johnson Funerals and Cremations, Rocky Mount.
