JAMES EDWARD STALLINGS
James Edward Stallings, 83, passed away Friday, March 16, 2012. He was born May 30, 1928 in Edgecombe County. He was the son of the late George and Annie Maude Lancaster Stallings. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Lottie Rackley Stallings; one son, Robbie Stallings; three brothers, Alton, Wilbur and Howard Stallings; and two sisters, Louise Hill and Agnes Ennis.

He is survived by three sons, Mike Stallings and wife Dianne of Rocky Mount, Randy Stallings and wife Susan of Wake Forest, Ray Stallings and wife Cindy of Rocky Mount; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one sister, Ida Abbott of Tazewell, VA.

Graveside services were held Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Diabetes Foundation at www.diabetes.org/donate

Arrangements were entrusted to Cornerstone Funeral and Cremations, Nashville.
