NASHVILLE - Roger Lee Phillips, 74, passed away Tuesday April 17, 2012. He was born July 20, 1937 in Greene County. Roger was the son of the late Roger V. and Leona Manning Phillips. Roger was preceded in death by his sister Lois Boyette.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Barbara Watson Phillips, sons, Michael W. of Nashville and Jeffrey N. of Swansboro, two brothers, Robert Phillips and wife LaDonna of Wilmington and Henry C. Phillips and wife Judy of Miami, Florida, one sister, Mary Brown of Nashville, and three grandchildren.
A memorial service was Saturday April 21, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Nashville United Methodist Church with the Pastor Ralph Brown officiating. Visitation followed after the service. Flowers are accepted or donations can be made to American Legion of Nashville 810 S.
