EMMA PRIDGEN SKINNER
Emma Pridgen Skinner passed away on  May 16, 2012. She was born on May 21, 1929, the daughter of Henry Luther Pridgen and Mollie Robbins Pridgen. She was preceded in death by her parents, her dear husband of 54 years, James A. “Billy” Skinner; her   sister, Mavis Skinner; brother-in-law, Ed Skinner; her son-in-law, Vann Manning; and brother-in-law, Sam Braswell; and one child.

She is survived by her daughters, Angela “Angie” Vaughan and husband James and Jamie Lynne Jobe and husband Johnny; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Annie Lee Braswell, Carol Smith and husband Robert, Nancy Skinner and husband Garland; brother, Willard Pridgen and wife Joyce; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A funeral service was held Saturday, May 19, 2012 at Union Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Gene Brooks officiating. Burial was at Mill Branch Cemetery.

Arrangements entrusted to Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home, 1130 N. Winstead Avenue, Rocky Mount.
