RED OAK – Julian Green Boone, age 86, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2012. He was born March 11, 1926, son of the late George Lee and Myrtle Frazier Boone. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Lula Belle Driver Boone and two brothers, George and William Boone. Also, he was predeceased by a granddaughter, Leigh Anne Brooks, and son-in-law, Billy Campfield.
He is survived by his daughter, Nancy B. Campfield of Nashville; sons, Lee Wayne Boone of Red Oak, and Michael J. Boone and wife Kaye of Rocky Mount; daughter-in-law, B.J. Boone; sisters, Nora Elizabeth King of Oklahoma and Margie B. Walker of Red Oak; sister-in-law, Nellie D. Perry; brothers-in-law, Archie Driver and Lonnie Driver, all of Red Oak; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; several loving nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.
Graveside service with military honors was held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Rocky Mount Memorial Park with Rev. Kip Vinson officiating.
