ETHELENE JOYNER BRANDT
GOLDSBORO –– Ethelene Joyner Brandt, 86, passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2012.

Ethelene was born in Nash County on December 16, 1925 to the late James Rufus Joyner and Lula Dorsey Joyner.  She was married to the late Donald Harrison Brandt Sr. 

Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home with Rev. Fred Crank officiating.  A private interment was held Thursday, July 5, 2012 in Wayne Memorial Park.

Ethelene is survived by her daughters, Judy B. Jackson and husband Gary of Goldsboro and Jean B. Best of Goldsboro; her son, Donald H. Brandt Jr. of Boise, Idaho; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.

 In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Elton Brandt; her sister, Virginia Privette; and her brothers, Clinton Joyner and Lee Joyner; her son-in-law, Bill Best.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s North Carolina, Inc., P.O. Box 10608, Goldsboro, NC 27532 or to Samaritans Purse, P.O. Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607.
