Daisy Britton James, age 76, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2012. Born in Salters, SC on February 26, 1936, she was the daughter of the late William H. Britton and Letha B. Britton. She was also preceded in death by her son, Neil James; brother, Bill Britton; and sisters, Margaret Buckner and Mildred Barrett.
She is survived by three daughters, Gail Walters and husband William of Rocky Mount, Lisa Morehouse and husband Ron of Tarboro, and Karen Stallings and husband Wayne of Raleigh; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held Sunday, July 15, 2012 at West Edgecombe Baptist Church Rev. Terry W. Brooks officiating. Burial was at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to West Edgecombe Baptist Church Building Fund, 13821 NC 43 North, Rocky Mount NC 27801.
Arrangements entrusted to Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home, 1130 N. Winstead Avenue, Rocky Mount.
