NASHVILLE - Frances Boone Floyd, 84, passed away Friday July 27, 2012. She was born November 6, 1927 in Nash County to the late William and Fannie Boone. She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, B.C. “Cody” Floyd, one son, Ben Floyd of Boone, two sisters, Peggy Malpass and husband Craven of Mount Olive, Fannie Bell Wilder of Raleigh, and one brother, Frank Boone and wife Mary of Fuquay Varina.
The funeral service was held on Monday, July 30, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home in Nashville with the Rev.Richard Price officiating. Burial followed at Forest Hill Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Elm Grove Baptist Church of Nashville.
