GERTIE MAE “GERT” PARKER BARBIE
Gertie Mae “Gert” Parker Barbie passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2012. She was born July 8, 1925 in Nash County. She was the daughter of the late Eddie and Alice Eason Parker.

She is preceded in death by three brothers Fonzie Parker, Lonzie Parker, and O.B. Parker, and three sisters Geneva Parker Joyner, Viola Parker, and Rosetta Parker.

She is survived by siblings Eddie and Mae Parker of Tarboro, Lola P. Clack of Rocky Mount, Dorothy P. Collie of Rocky Mount, DeLeon and Connie Parker of Rocky Mount, and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held  Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Cornerstone Funeral Home with Rev. David Butts and Rev. Danny Harris officiating.  Burial  followed at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Living Faith Fellowship Church, 1090 West Mount Dr., Rocky Mount, NC 27803
