Janet Byrne Young, 65, died September 29, 2012. She was born in Rocky Mount on February 21, 1947 to Charles Shepard Byrne and Phyllis Geraldine Arnold. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Shepard Byrne.
She is survived by her husband, Henry Lovic Young, III; her daughter, Caroline Shepard Young; her mother, Geraldine Arnold Byrne; her brothers, Charles Shepard Byrne, Jr . (Joie), Joel Arnold Byrne (Susan) and Matthew Jacob Byrne (Tina); and her mother-in-law, Lavenia Sisco Young.
Donations in honor of Janet may be made to UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at Wheeler-Woodlief Funeral Home with Jimmy Carpenter officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
