Frances Rountree Harrison passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2012. The daughter of Benjamin F. and Inez Lovern Rountree, she was born in Atlanta, Georgia on May 20, 1925.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her only child, Charles Benjamin Harrison and her brother, Rev. Benjamin F. Rountree, Jr. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Charlie M. Harrison; her daughter-in-law, Julie Glasser Harrison and three grandchildren; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Fred and Gerry Harrison of Cairo GA; and a number of nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her foster daughter, Kay McCall Owens and her family.
A service to remember Frances was held at 11 am Saturday morning, December 22, 2012 at First Baptist Church with Rev. William Grisham officiating. Burial followed at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
