EARLY DAWN HOPKINS
Early Dawn Hopkins, Sr., 71, passed away, Monday May 13, 2013. He was born February 28, 1942 in Greenville County, SC. He was the son of the late Clyde James and Georgie Lee Capps Hopkins. In addition to his parents, Early was preceded in death by two brothers, Mitchell and Richard C. Hopkins.

He is survived by his wife, Mary R. Hopkins, his children; Georgie Hopkins of the home, Mary Ann Joyner of the home, Michael Hopkins of Rocky Mount, Early Hopkins, Jr. of Rocky Mount, Kevin Joyner of Rocky Mount, Kristina Clyburn of Durham, Kim Arnold of Rocky Mount, Crystal Cockrell of Kentucky and Stephanie Bissette of Middlesex; sister, Barbara Lee Hines of Spring Hope, brothers, Tony Hopkins and Chris Hopkins both of Rocky Mount; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; nine nieces and five nephews.

A funeral service was held Friday, May 17, 2013  in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with Pastor Thomas Ivey officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
