EDWARD LEE (BUDDY) JOYNER, SR.
Edward Lee (Buddy) Joyner, Sr., 84, passed away June 15, 2013. Born November 21, 1928 in Nash County, he was the son of the late Samuel Jacob and Beulah Barfield Joyner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Inez Baker and Lillian Crumpler.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary Davis Joyner; sons, Edward Jr., and Ronald Joyner both of Rocky Mount and David Joyner of Cary. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild; siblings, Rosabelle Brannon, Lucille Baxley, Maybelle Lowe, Vetter Wallace, Randolph Joyner, Sam Joyner, Pattie Bissette, John Joyner and Garland Joyner.

A graveside service was held at Rocky Mount Memorial Park on Monday, June 17, 2013 with Ashley Thomas officiating.

Arrangements by Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home, Rocky Mount.
