ALICE OUTLAW SHEARIN

Alice Outlaw Shearin, 67, passed away  Sunday, October 27, 2013 at Nash General Hospital. She was born August 21, 1946, to the late Lewis Howard Wood and Ethel Viola Taylor Wood. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Ray Wood; two sisters Joann Rackley and Loretta Groover.
She is survived by her husband, Samuel Gardner Shearin of the home; daughter, Melissa Upchurch Walker (Randy) of Wilson; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Kenneth Wood(Mary) of Columbus, Ga.; sister, Shelby Jean Shearin (Thurlo) of Spring Hope.
A service was held October 29, 2013 at Cornerstone Funeral Home & Cremations, Nashville with Larry Shearin officiating.
MARY ELIZABETH PRIDGEN
 Mary Elizabeth Pridgen, 84, passed away, Friday, October 25, 2013. She was born October 11, 1929 in Nash County to the late Saul and Annie Pearce Pridgen. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by husband, Willard J. Pridgen, brothers; Robert, Dave and Arthur Pridgen, sister, Jeffie “Sister” Long.
She is survived by one son, Dennis Pridgen and wife Brenda, two daughters; Cathy Keith and husband Jerry and Connie Wood, one brother, James “Boy” Pridgen, one sister, Ann Coggins, six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren.
A service was held   October 27, 2013  with Rev. Tommy Pridgen officiating in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home & Cremations, Nashville. Burial followed at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
