Edward Horace Carwell, 78, passed away, Monday December 9, 2013. He was born August 6, 1935 in Johnston County to the late Roy and Nannie Utley Carwell.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother.           
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Peggy Brantley Carwell, two sons; Dale Carwell and Jeff Carwell and wife Karen, one daughter, Jan Harper and husband Mike, two brothers; Johnny Carwell and wife Jill of Raleigh, Ronnie Carwell and wife Jane of Woodbridge, VA, one sister, Darlene Carwell Parrish of Raleigh, three grandchildren.       
A graveside service was held  Friday, December 13, 2013 at at Mill Branch Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Fountain of Hope – Church of God of Prophecy on 900 Wilkins Street Rocky Mount NC 27803.
