Roger Edward Nines, 80, passed away Monday, December 23, 2013.  He was born in Nash County September 13, 1933 to the late James Elijah Nines and Frances Walker Nines.   In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his first wife, Agnes Cone Nines, seven sisters, and three brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Wells Nines; son, Dennis Wayne Nines; four grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren;  many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service was held Thursday, December 26, 2013 at Cornerstone Funeral Home with Pastor Ronnie Bass officiating.
