JEAN FEREBEE BISHOP

Jean Ferebee Bishop diedĀ  January 19, 2014. She was born in Vance County on January 10, 1927 to Stephen Scott Ferebee and Carrie Cheatham Ferebee. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty years, John Edward (Jack) Bishop.
She is survived by three brothers; Scott Ferebee of Charlotte, James Ferebee and wife Ann of Shawboro, and John Ferebee and wife Patsy of Rocky Mount; five children, Christie Bishop Barbee and husband Will, Jack Bishop and wife Grace, Steve Bishop and wife Gail, Carolyn Bishop McCosh and husband Alan, Maude Bishop and Walt Pate; twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the home of John and Patsy Ferebee, 412 Wildwood Avenue, Rocky Mount on Wednesday, January 22 from 5-8 p.m. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 23 at 11:00 a.m. at Lakeside Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Lakeside Baptist Church in Rocky Mount and to St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Bath, North Carolina.
