Vernon Carl Batchelor, Jr., 59, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2014. He was born in Nash County, March 25, 1955 to the late Vernon C. Batchelor, Sr. and Lula Beamon Batchelor. 
He is survived by the mother of his children, Susan Batchelor; son, Justin Batchelor; daughter, Lauren Barnes and husband, Cody; two grandchildren; brother, Van Batchelor.
A funeral service was held Friday, May 9, 2014 at Cornerstone Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Gurganus officiating.  Burial  followed at Forest Hill Cemetery, Nashville. Flowers are accepted or memorial donations may be made to SECU Hospice House of Smithfield.
