NELLIE WHEELESS TYSON

Nellie Wheeless Tyson, 86, passed away on May 19, 2014.  Born in Nash County on January 30, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Joyner Wheeless and Cassie Bunn Wheeless.
Survivors include her husband Robert Marshall Tyson; sons, Robert Marshall Tyson Jr. and wife Dianne of Clayton and John Alfred Tyson and wife Donna of Nashville; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A service to remember Nellie was held at 2 p.m. on Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Steve Roberson and Rev. Tim Andrews officiating.  Burial followed at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sunset Avenue Baptist Church, 3732 Sunset Avenue, Rocky Mount NC 27804 or Macedonia Baptist Church, 551 Macedonia Road, Spring Hope NC 27882.
