Lester Hugh Starling of Rocky Mount, 88, passed away on October 19, 2014. He was born April 25, 1926 in Wilson County to the late Hubert Lester and Maud Perry Starling. Lester was also preceded in death by brothers, Wesley and Roger Starling; sisters, Margaret S. Hayes and Marie S. Johnson; and nephews, Dickie Millinder and Lance Mitchell.
Lester is survived by his wife, Bettie Ruth Ezzell; sisters, Evelyn Starling Trevathan and Annette Starling Mitchell and husband Ronnie; several nieces and nephews, extended family and numerous special friends.
A graveside service was held  on Wednesday, October 22, 2014   at Pineview Cemetery in Rocky Mount. Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to American Legion Post 110, PO Box 565, Nashville, NC 27856.
