SEABURY DANIEL THORP

Seabury Daniel Thorp, 81, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2014. He was born June 30, 1933 in Rocky Mount, the son of the late Lewis Sumner Thorp and Routh Speed Mercer Thorp. He was the youngest of three children.
He is survived by his wife, Sarajane Chambers Thorp of the home; two sons, Seabury Daniel Thorp Jr, of Raleigh and John Hall Chambers Thorp, his wife Sharon Moriarty Thorp; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Dr. Lewis Sumner Thorp; and is survived by his brother, John Mercer Thorp.
A funeral service was held Saturday, December 6, 2014 at First Baptist Church, Rocky Mount, with Rev. Dennis Darville, Rev. Chris Jordan and Rev. Jason Cockrell officiating. Burial followed at Pineview Cemetery, Rocky Mount.
