ETTA FRANCES BROWN JONES

Etta Frances Brown Jones, 94, passed away, Thursday December 4, 2014. She was born March 14, 1920 in Nash County to the late Willie and Anna Cooper Brown. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Algie Jones, Sr., two great grandsons, Ernest Algie Jones, IV and Grant Kristopher Phillips.
She is survived by three sons, Ernest Algie Jones, Jr. and wife Ina, Rex Jones and wife Elaine and Kim Jones and wife Tracie, two daughters, Shelby Matthews and husband Wesley and Pat Renfrow and husband Jan, two brothers, Earl and Harold Brown, one sister, Geraldine Nelms, 13 grandchildren  and 19 great- grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held  Saturday, December 6, 2014,  at Mount Zion Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Ronnie Aycock officiating. Burial was at the  Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mt. Zion Free Will Baptist Church Building Fund.
