John Lee Whitley, 73, passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2015.  He was born in Nash County January 30, 1942 to the late Orville and Mayonna Whitley.
John is survived by his wife, Linda Y. Whitley; daughters, Jeanette Whitley Talbot (Willie), Joy Whitley; and two grandchildren.
A funeral service was held Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Cornerstone Funeral Home.
