Donovan (Don) Powell Tippette, 72 passed away on October 9, 2015. He was born in Enfield to the late William Tippette and Agnes Parrish. He was preceded in death by his stepfather Edward Parrish, and sister, Priscilla Tippette Fisher of Florence, S.C.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years Linda Barnes Tippette; son, Daniel Powell Tippette and wife Wendy; one grandson; sister, Betty Jane Tippette Raper of Rocky Mount; a half-brother, William Dodson Tippette of Garner and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 13, 2015 in the chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
