CLARENCE WILLARD MANNING
MOMEYER – Clarence Willard Manning, 85, passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2007 at Wake Medical Center. He was born on April 30, 1922 in Nash County. He was the son of the late Rance and Ada Matthews Manning. He is preceded in death by four sisters, Alcie Matthews, Alvarhada Bass, Nancy Ella Murray and Salome Hendricks, three brothers, Luther, Edgar and Monroe Manning.

He is survived by his wife, Annie Tyson Manning, five children, Rebecca Manning of Youngsville, NC, Carol Anne Whitford and husband Bryan of Nashville, NC, Paul Manning and wife Joy of Spring Hope, NC, Frances Southerland and husband Danny of Nashville, NC, Rose Smith and husband Michael of Pink Hill, NC, nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, soon to be seven, and many nieces and nephews.

The family received friends on Thursday, December 27, 2007 from 6:30-8:30 PM at Cornerstone Funeral Home and other times at the home. Funeral Services were Friday, December 28, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Mt. Zion Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Matthews and Dr. James Rogerson officiating. Burial followed at Mt Zion Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Mt. Zion Free Will Baptist Church at 1779 Mt. Zion Free Will Baptist Church Road, Nashville, NC 27856 or to the Church or Charity of your choice.

Arrangements are entrusted to Cornerstone Funeral Home and Cremations, 1052 South First Street, Nashville, NC 27856.
