Alice Stevens Adams

Alice Stevens Adams, age 81, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2015. Born in Johnston County on January 21, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Needham Stevens and Pauline Thompson Stevens. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William R. Adams, Jr.; her daughter, Janet Ruth Adams; her brother N.S. Stevens; her sisters, Katherine Stevens Barnes and Helen Stevens Scott.

She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Adams Demilio and her husband, Nick, of Rocky Mount, and Barbara Adams Overman and her husband, Ricky, of Rocky Mount; her son, Bob Adams and his wife, Kim, of Wilmington; 5 grandchildren; sisters, Joyce Stevens Underwood and her husband, Bobby, of Raleigh, and Louise Stevens Byrd and her husband, Clifford, of Panama City, FL; and many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, November 29, 2015 at 2 pm at Englewood United Methodist Church, 300 S. Circle Drive, Rocky Mount, with Pastor John Dutton officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives Saturday, November 28, 2015 from 6-8 pm at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services. A private burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Englewood United Methodist Church, 300 S. Circle Drive, Rocky Mount, NC, 27804 or to a charity of one's choice.
