Carolyn Eskew Medford, age 44, of Whitakers, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2016. Born in Nash County on April 1, 1971, she was the daughter of Francis Eskew, Jr. and Iris Eskew.

Along with her parents, Carolyn is survived by her husband, Scott Medford of Whitakers; and her step-son, Derek Mooring of Fremont.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with the Rev. Garry Medford officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Edgecombe-Nash Humane Society, P. O. Box 1783, Rocky Mount, NC 27802 or to a charity of one's choice.
