Elmo Dan Atkins

Elmo Dan Atkins, 74, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2016. He was born in Nash County to the late Herman P. Sr. and Geneva Register Atkins. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers, Wayne and Herman P. Atkins, Jr.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Frances Gurganus Atkins; son, Michael D. Atkins(Lisa); daughter, Michelle A. Atkins; four grandchildren; brother, Adam Atkins (Barbara); sisters, Pat Hamad (Mack), Lois Calhoun, and Joey Carpenter.

A graveside service will be held at 11a.m., Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
