Douglas Ralph Brown, Sr. age 76, of Nashville, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2016. Born in Steuben County, NY on March 2, 1940, he was the son of the late Ernest Edmond Brown and Evelyn Stoddard Brown. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Gwen Peters, a half-sister Juanita Petoskey, and a brother James Brown.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Nystrom Brown of 53 years; his daughters, Kimberly Susan Brown of Raleigh, and Michele Lynn Guerrero of Oceanside, CA; his son, Douglas Ralph Brown, Jr., and his wife, Andria of Angier, NC; one granddaughter; sister, Diane Woodruff, and her husband, Paul of Binghamton, NY; a brother, Ernest Brown, Jr. of Manchester, CT.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Chaplain Sallie Imke officiating. Visitation with the family will follow the service.
