Naomi "Pat" Catherine Davis Combs, 88, died on April 29, 2016. She was born in Edgecombe County on July 7, 1927. She was the wife of the late Fred David Combs and the daughter of the late Gorham and Lessie Davis of Sharpsburg. Sisters Gladys Davis Bryan, Louise Davis Fisher and brothers Ambler Davis, Frank Davis, Gordon Davis, and grandson Ronnie Combs preceded her in death.

She is survived by two children, Phillip Wayne Combs and wife Peggy and David Warren Combs and wife Catherine, all of Rocky Mount; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters, Anita Davis Brinkley and husband John, Peggy Davis Newton and husband Joe; sisters-in-law Aileen Whitehead Davis, Charlotte Harper Davis, and Elaine Combs McCrory Grape, and many nieces and nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service was held on Monday, May 2, 2016 at Englewood Methodist Church in Rocky Mount. Reverend John Dutton presided at the service. A private graveside service was held.
