Mary Edna Dickens, 99, passed away Monday, July 25, 2016.

Mary Edna Dickens Dickens, 99, passed away July 25, 2016. She was born in Nash County, June 7, 1917 to the late Benjamin Dickens and Sarah Ella Laughter Dickens.

She is preceded in death by her husband Mark Lee Dickens, 1 sister, Mildred Dickens Pavelka , 2 brothers, Vernon Dickens and Allen Ray Dickens and a dear nephew Johnny Pavelka.

She is survived by her two daughters, Mary Leigh Dickens Oliver (Dan) of Elm City, Ella Rae Dickens Jones (Richard) of Rocky Mount, four grandchildren; nine great grand children; eight great great grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors at 1 pm Thursday, July 28,, 2016 followed by her Homegoing service at 2 pm at Cornerstone Funeral Home in Nashville, NC with Pastor Jerome Mozingo and Reverend John Guyton officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.

Flowers accepted at Cornerstone Funeral Home, Nashviille in remembrance of Mary Edna.
