Donna Lancaster Joyner, age 64, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2017. Born in Rocky Mount on February 7, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Johnnie and Mary Elizabeth Dawes Lancaster. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Julia "Judy" Lancaster Proctor.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Carter Lee "Charlie" Joyner of Rocky Mount; her son, Austin Carter Joyner and his wife, Nicky, of Rocky Mount; one grandchild; sister, Joann Shearin and her husband, Carl, of Rocky Mount; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 13, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with burial at Rocky Mount Memorial Park Cemetery following the service. Visitation with the family will begin at 1:30 PM prior to the service.
