James David "J.D." Burnette

James David "J.D." Burnette, 92 of Middlesex passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2017. His funeral service was conducted Saturday, March 4, at Middlesex Church of God. Interment followed in F.W. Stone Family Cemetery, Stone Heritage Road, Middlesex. The Rev. Ed Toler, Wayne Stone, and Rev. Hollis Fredrick officiated.

J.D. was born in Nash County on June 3, 1924 to the late David R. Burnette and Nanny Vick Burnette.

He is survived by his wife, C. Jean Stone Burnette of the home, and his sister, Pansy Creech from Raleigh.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Nanny Burnette; sister, Virginia and a brother, Harvey.
