Timothy Ivan Thorne, 70, passed away Friday, April 14, 2017. He was born in Wilson County, October 4, 1946 to the late Ivan Lee "Bunny" and Thelma Yount Thorne .

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry and Dale Thorne.

He is survived by his wife Linda Land Thorne; sons, Mark Thorne (Karen), Jamie Moss (Libby); daughter, Melinda Tyson (Greg), five grandchildren; one great grandchild; sister in laws, Diane Gibson (Gene) Sandra Thorne and brother in law, Keith Land.

A graveside service to celebrate his life will be held 1 p.m., Monday, April 17, 2017 at Land Cemetery, Land Rd, Nashville. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.-12:45 pm, Monday at Cornerstone Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Nash, 2460 Curtis Ellis Drive, Rocky Mount, NC 27804 or to Macedonia Baptist Church 551 Macedonia Rd Spring Hope, NC 27882.
