Naomi Joyner Batchelor, 89, passed away Friday, April 21, 2017. She was born February 2, 1928 in Nash County to the late Alford and Lovie Ann Joyner. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Rudolph Batchelor; brothers, Herbert, Elmer, Cliff, Lee, Weeks and Cecil; sisters, Gertrude and Claudia; grandchildren, Gregory Mitchell and James Kehoe.

She is survived by her sons, Norman Batchelor (Irene) and Steve Batchelor (Caroline); daughters, Phyllis Mitchell (Charles), Donna Kehoe (Jim) and Ginger Matthews (Randy); 8 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and a sister, Eunice Pridgen.

Services were held Monday April 24, 2017 at Cornerstone Funeral Home with Dr. Rick Downing officiating. Burial followed in Oakdale Cemetery.
