Willard Clinton Inscoe

WILLARD CLINTON INSCOE

Willard Clinton Inscoe, 101, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017. He was born in Nash County on October 20, 1915 to the late William D. Inscoe and Martha Z. Batchelor Inscoe. Willard served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a retired Barber, who worked until he was 97 years old. He was a member of Rock Creek Baptist Church and a member of the American Legion, Post 110 of Nashville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Wester Inscoe; a son Jackie who died at birth; daughter, Willette Inscoe Johns and eight siblings.

He is survived by his son, Willard David Inscoe and daughter-in-law, Clara Quidley Inscoe; grandchildren, David Slade Inscoe, Anthony Gagnon and Christopher Gagnon; great grandchildren, Anna Inscoe, Evan Inscoe and Olivia Gagnon. His primary caregiver for the past few years has been his devoted grandson Anthony Gagnon. Also helping with his care, the family of Barbara Pullen, LeRoy Jones and his church family.

A service to celebrate Willard's life will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Forest Hill Cemetery with Rev. David Pope officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Rock Creek Baptist Church 1238 Rock Creek Dr. Nashville, NC 27856.
