WILLIAM MARTIN "BILLY" BROTHERS

William Martin "Billy" Brothers, 82, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2017. He was born in Pasquotank County on October 21, 1934 to the late Ross and Dorothy Tankard Brothers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Johnnie Paul Brothers and Robert Brothers, Sr.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Martha Hoskins Brothers; three brothers, Jimmy Brothers of Jacksonville, Florida, Jackie Brothers and Tommy Brothers ( Gladys); two sisters, Dottie Pritchard and Cathy Markham (Gary), all of Elizabeth City, several nieces and nephews.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made in his honor to the Shriner's Children's, Sudan Temple @ 403 East Front Street, New Bern, NC 28560 or Friends of Hospice, Hospice Care of Nash Health Care @ 2460 Curtis Ellis Drive, Rocky Mount, NC 27804 or Red Oak Baptist Church @ PO Box 260 Red Oak, NC 27868.

A memorial service was held Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Cornerstone Funeral Home.
