Joseph Lee Applewhite

Joseph Lee Applewhite, 80, of Nashville, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2017. Services will be held Monday, June 5 at 12 noon from the Mt. Venron Baptist Church in Nashville. Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday, June 4, from 3-7 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home in Nashville.

He is survived by his daughters, Mary Magalene Applewhite of Nashivlle, Jo Ann Strickland (Donald Ray) of Charlotte, Joy Inez Applewhite of Rocky Mount, Kimberly A. Gaines (Julius) of Charlotee; sons, Bradley Lee Applewhite of Virginia Beach, Va., Ricky Earl Richardson of Hampton, Va.; sisters, Margaret Applewhite of Washington DC, Annie Doris Applewhite of Raleigh, Daisey Applewhite of Rocky Mount, and Evelyn Wilson of Nashville; brothers, George Applewhite of Rocky Mount, William Applewhite of Spring Hope; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
