Rosabell Joyner Brannon

Rosabell Joyner Brannon, age 94, of Rocky Mount, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2017. Born in Rocky Mount, on January 7, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Jacob and Mollie Dorsey Joyner. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, William Foster Brannon, Sr.; her infant brother, her maternal grandparents, Nannie W. and Ellis L. Dorsey; her sisters, Inez Baker; Lillian Joyner Crumpler; and her brother, Edward Lee Joyner.

She is survived by her daughter, Irma Jean Brannon of Rocky Mount; and son, William "Bill" Foster Brannon Jr. of Raleigh; sisters, Lucille Baxley of Rocky Mount; Maebell Lowe of Clayton; Vetter Wallace of Rocky Mount, NC; Pattie Bissette of Rocky Mount; and brothers, William Randolph Joyner of Rocky Mount; Samuel Jacob Joyner, Jr. of Morehead City; John Henry Joyner of Rocky Mount; and Garland W. Joyner of Newport.

A graveside aervice will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Forest Hill Cemetery in Nashville. The family will receive friends and relatives on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 from 6- 7:30 p.m. at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Transitions LifeCare Hospice Home, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
